Selection requirements

Prospective applicants should be:

• Mongolian citizen
• Holding a Bachelor degree
• Between 22-25 years old at the time of application

How to apply

The candidate meeting the above mentioned requirements may submit her/his application materials to YLP administration by September 5 of each year. The application package includes the materials:     

• YLP application form (is available at YLP website or at the Foundation office)
• CV or Resume
• Two recommendation letters from immediate supervisors or the graduated school lecturers
• Motivation letter, explaining why the candidate wants to take part in the program and how the program is expected to contribute or open up opportunity in her/his future

Incomplete application package will not be processed.

Selection process

Selection of participants is carried out with two stages.

At the first stage, the candidate will be pre-selected with the submitted materials based in part on the following criteria:    

• how well the candidate determined her/his future goals
• does the candidate have commitments to the program
• how well the candidate be benefited from the program

At the second stage, the pre-selected candidates will be invited to participate in a face to face interview. The selection committee will review the candidate’s strengths in such areas as:

• Long and short term goals 
• Ambition
• Community service
• Prior academic success

Application and interview in English will be an asset.
